The missing link is every strategic resource developing potential and capabilities to develop and sustain competitive advantage (Warren, 2019). If there cannot be development and implementation of strategic resources as well as capabilities, there cannot be the attractiveness of a management theory converted into productive margins of profits for an organization. There had been bureaucratic management theory applied to my previous workplace in the past. However, there had not been appropriate levels of reporting and strictness in hierarchy maintained. This is because the managers at the top-level had many colleagues at the lower levels who had been personally close to the top-level managers.
